In the midst of a normal day, in a normal kitchen, a realization hits me. I’m struck by the fact that the past few months have been pretty good. To be sure, they’ve had their ups and downs, but there has been substantial progress in many ways. I realize that it’s the most at ease I’ve felt for a long stretch of time in quite a while.
The phrase used by Jesus to open the Olivet Discourse is, "Take heed that no man deceive you.” (KJV). When Jesus warns us to take care regarding something, it behooves us to do so. However, avoiding deception can be easier said than done. Let’s take a look at three scriptural references that can help shed light on how we can “take heed” to the warning Jesus has given us.
